Highwind Lake is a large lake with deep waters and offers many safe recreational opportunities. Talk to one of the camp staff to hear about some of the cool places to check out on the lake, where and when fishing might be great, and where underwater obstacles may be lurking! We know where they are and have, at times, found them the hard way so you don’t have to! Pick up a map of the lake at the camp store.
For those looking to paddle through or paddle from Highwind Lake, we are in the center of a number of popular canoe routes with portages to Ethelma Lake on the west end, Porcus Lake on the east end and to Hillock Lake to the south end.
