RV/Camper sites are generally made available for seasonal rentals, however, where there is an opening short term rentals are available. Check-in time is 3:00 PM and Check-out time is 10:00 AM. Sites are first come first serve. Contact us ahead to confirm a site of interest is available.
Highwind Lake Camp has a number of RV/Camper sites. RV sites each back up onto the water with ample room for your RV/Camper and vehicle. Lease a site seasonally and enjoy weekends away at the lake. For short term (nightly or weekly) rentals, please see the Tent Sites page.
Our seasonal sites have three options available: 8 week, 12 week, or “full season”. Full season rentals run from May Long Weekend to Thanksgiving Weekend but rather than pack up at the end of the season, guests are able to winterize their camper and store it through the winter! 8 week and 12 week seasons can begin any time after May Long and are simply tracked from that first day.
RV sites are serviced with electricity, gray water dump, and water hook up. Black water can be dumped on site as well. Since we power our camp through solar electricity and on occasion, diesel, we ask that our guests run their RV refrigerator on propane rather than electricity. We ask all of our guests to use a coffee percolator or French press to brew their coffee to avoid any power outages. Electric toasters are also not ideal so “camp toasters” are available for purchase if needed.
All sites each have a picnic table and fire pit. Full Season guests are allowed to customize and decorate their site, within reason. Any structures such as decks or gazebos must be removable if needed. Dry seasoned firewood is available. While some guests do bring their own firewood, we always caution against transporting firewood from one province to another to avoid the spreading of pests and diseases.
Pets are allowed at our camp, but they must be kept on a leash when walking around camp and may not run at large. Pets must be attended at all times. They are not allowed on the beach or in the water. All waste from pets must be picked up and properly disposed of.
