Cabin 1 is a small, cozy log cabin that is rated for two persons but will sleep and accommodate a few more if needed.
It has an open kitchen-dining-room-living-room area with a spiral staircase leading to the upstairs, loft bedroom. This is a large bedroom with a double bed. This bedroom has a small balcony off it that overlooks our beach and lake, with a wonderful view of morning sunrises over the little island in the east.
There is a covered deck on the front of the cabin and this cabin is also located right along our beach. Cabin 1 is facing east so you can sit on the deck in the early morning and enjoy the sunrise across the lake. If you miss that, you can sit in the same spot and enjoy the rising of the moon in the evenings.
Our cabins now boast a brand new bathroom of their own. The washroom includes sink, toilet, and shower with on-demand hot water. Additional showers and washrooms can be found at our central shower house facility by the loop.
We supply all the bedding in our cabins. We also supply towels, face cloths, tea towels and dish cloths during these summer months. We ask you to bring your own beach towels to use at the lake and your own lawn chairs to use at the beach too.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, cutlery and flatware. The stove is propane operated and we supply a coffee percolator and stove top toaster. There is also a kettle and French press as an alternative method for coffee making. We ask our guests to not bring electric toasters or coffee makers as they are too much for the generator.
Cabin 1 is available for rent from May 15th until September 30th. During June, July, and August we strictly do week rentals from Saturday to Saturday unless there happens to be an open week in which we can accommodate a shorter rental. Check in time is 3pm and checkout time is 10am. We ask that all guests check out by 10am so we are able to clean the cabins thoroughly for the following guests.
Pets are allowed at our camp, but they must be kept on a leash when walking around camp and may not run at large. Pets must be attended at all times. They are not allowed on the beach or in the water. All waste from pets must be picked up and properly disposed of. We do not allow cats in our cabins due to the high risk of allergies for our guests.
Pets are free to swim at Elthelma Lake
